One of the main aims of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is to promote unity across the entire world field. The model constitutions are intended to help accomplish this. Here in the UK & Ireland, because we operate as three separate charities (BUC, SEC and NEC), our constitutions have diverged somewhat over the years. The current process of revising the constitutions and bringing them back into line with the General Conference models, should help to enhance the unity that we enjoy as Union, Conferences and Missions here in Britain and Ireland.

The unity of our proposed constitutions can perhaps best be seen in this document, where the proposed BUC constitution, NEC constitution, and Missions operating policies are presented sided by side. It is quite a large document (over 20,000 words) and is provided more for reference than for reading right through, though you are welcome to do so.
